Dr. Rebecca Nye has described the nurturing of children's spirituality as developing "your own habits of recognizing when spirituality is, and isn't, able to flourish in your local context."

Leading Up facilitators are available to guide teacher leaders in forming their own spiritual rule of life and in exploring ways to form an environment that nurtures the spiritual development of children, youth, and adults using research-based methods and ideas.

The Leading Up team is experienced in Godly Play, developed by the Rev. Jerome Berryman and based on Montessori principles. The Godly Play method serves children through early, middle and late childhood and beyond, helping them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience though wonder and play.
